How I Have Changed In 30 Years Linky Challenge #SpecialK30

I am a Special K connoisseur, I have eaten it for as long as I can remember...whether I have been dieting or not, I always tend to have a bowl when I get to work in the mornings.  The news that Kellogg's are launching a new, more wholesome recipe for their Special K cereal after 30 years filled me with apprehension and a tiny bit of dread.  "Will they still be as good? If it's not broke, why try fixing it?" I immediately thought to myself.

The answer is a big fat YES, and they have changed it to make it even better for you than it was previously.  The new Special K recipe contains three wholegrains which are rice, wheat and barley (previously there were only two) which are a source of fibre as well as 8 vitamins and minerals.  It's as delicious as it ever was with maybe just a little bit more crunch and a bit of extra sweetness.

So this is the first time Special K has changed in 30 years...how have I changed in 30 years?

Lets start at the beginning:

It was 9th July 1981,
A tiny Monkey baby girl was born at Greenwich Hospital at 05:02am precisely.

My passion for fashion started early on,
My penchant for velour and dungarees made me very popular with my friends.

My haircuts also got increasingly stylish as I got older,
The "Pudding" was my particular favourite.

When I was 9 my musicality became apparent,
I would spend hours entertaining my family with my amazing recitals.

As I flourished into a teenager,
I found joy and happiness in everything.

My fashion sense got even better in my late teens,
Did you know I am personally to blame thank for the Zebra/Union Jack print craze of the early 2000's?

At 21 I became a mother for the first time,
No jokes here as it was one of the best moments of my life.

At 25 I got married for the first time and at 26 I got divorced for the first time.

At 25 I had my 1st son.

At 27 I had my 2nd son.

At 29 I had my 2nd daughter.

My children are my life now and will be forever more.
However much I change and grow from now on they will always remain constant (unlike zebra print or dodgy hair do's).

Things have kind of gone full circle I guess and in 30 years I have gone from being my Mum's baby to having babies of my own.  I have changed, evolved and grown over the last 30 years and will continue to do so over the next 30...much like Special K.
